LIKE IN TOKYO, JAPAN IN OCTOBER 2008, GREEK EYEWEAR DESIGNER ATHANASSIOS WAS SELECTED BY AN INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE AS ATHANASSIOS EYEWEAR HAVE BEEN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED AS INNOVATIVE AND FASHION FORWARD.

DURING THE FAIR, ATHANASSIOS PRESENTED HIS NEW COLLECTIONS.

ATHANASSIOS AFFIRMED HIS STRONG BUSINESS RELATION WITH THE ITALIAN FACTORY MAZZUCCEHLI – THE WORLDS LEADING SUPPLIER OF THE FINEST MATERIAL SINCE 1849. ATHANASSIOS PRESENCE IN THE FAIR WAS COVERED BY ANGELO ANTONIO MESSINA, THE FAMOUS FASHION DEIGNER.

OCTOBER FIRST 2008, GREEK EYEWEAR DESIGNER ATHANASSIOS WENT TO JAPAN WHERE HE PARTICIPATED ON THE 21ST INTERNATIONAL OPTICAL FAIR IN TOKYO. ATHANASSIOS BOOTH WAS IN THE BOUTIQUE SECTION OF THE FAIR, THE EXHIBITION AREA DEDICATED TO WORLD CLASS DESIGNERS.

LIKE IN MILAN ITALY EARLIER THIS YEAR, ATHANASSIOS WENT TO JAPAN TO PROMOTE HIS INDUSTRIAL DESIGN CONCEPT SUMMARIZED IN THE PHRASE «LOOK AT ART WITH YOUR EYES». IN HIS NEW COLLETIONS, KOSMOS AND ITHAKA, ATHANASSIOS COMBINED THE ARTISTIC GEOMETRIES OF ANCIENT GREECE WITH COLORS INSPIRED BY THE BYZANTINE ERA. THIS SUMMER ATHANASSIOS RENEWED HIS GLOBAL LICENSE FOR THE CREATION OF HIS PATTENTED HAND MADE TEMPLES WITH ORIGINAL SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS

DURING THE FAIR ATHANASSIOS EXPANDED HIS BUSINESS WITH JAPANESE AND RUSSIAN CHAINS OF OPTICAL RETAIL STORES

ATHANASSIOS DESIGNS ATTRACTED THE ATTENTION OF THE JAPANESE PRESS. HE GAVE INTERVIEWS TO LASTING FAIR, A FRENCH-JAPANESE TV CHANNEL AND MODE OPTIQUE THE BIGGEST MAGAZINE IN THE JAPANESE OPTICAL FIELD.

FINALLY ATHANASSIOS WILL LIKE TO THANK FOR THEIR OVERWELMING HELP AND SUPPORT DIPLOMAT GEORGE TOSSOUNIS FIRST SECRETARY OF THE GREEK EMPASSY IN TOKYO AND MS SOFIA PANAGIOTAKI HEAD DIRECTOR OF THE HELLENIC TOURISM ORGANIZATION.
