Are thick black rimmed glasses "nerd glasses" in style?

I’ve always thought they were cute, but they were always the "nerd" glasses. Lately I’ve noticed a bunch of the "cool" popular kids in my school wearing them though. I’ve even seen celebrities wearing them

I’m shopping for new glasses tomorrow, and I was wondering if should get a pair of those or not?

So the only difference really is the nerd glasses have bigger lenses.
So, what do you think?
yeah they are very popular and a lot of people where them as a fashion thing now. but I don’t think anybody wears them as real glasses. you should just get a pair of glasses that suits you and you like and then a pair of these fake nerd glasses like everyone else has for fun occassions etc. i know a lot of people who wear them for fun and to look nerdy but i don’t know anyone who actually has them as prescription glasses lol. and those non-nerd ones are nice

they’re very chic and popular now, and i find them to be quite attractive!

Black rimmed glasses are indeed "nerd glasses" but they are in right now if you are from the ages of 10-18. I see them on kids those ages all the time.

Well i wear them and i wear the 3d cinema glasses as a fashion accessory so yeah you could wear them

Sooner or later those glasses are going to go out of style they sell fake ones without prescription lenses at most stores that sell accesories i think you should get a pair of the normal ones and if you still want "nerd glasses" then get fake ones so you won’t be stuck with them when they arn’t in style anymore

Yeah those are really cute! Like in the taylor swift music video. My friend has some non-prescription ones but she tells people that they’re real. I think they’re really cute. especially since you’ve always liked them and now they’re in style! Go for it

Right now, they are, but I wouldn’t buy them as real glasses if you’re only buying them for style. They’re more scene, and scene is going out.

Dont get nerd glasses! a girl on my bus wore them once and everybody made fun of her. get the second pair(link2) they r sooo much better

I have some and they are SOOOOO cute!
Its blue PLAID (buffalo).
i got them at hottopic
they are in the case around the cashiers.
