Well the best thing to do is just to try a bunch of different styles on. However, I would suggest looking for more of the trendy and thick styles of frames. Thin frames begin to blend in to your face and become part of your appearance, whereas thick and seemingly nerdy frames just make you look like a beautiful woman who happens to have glasses on. Of course, designers like Versace, Gucci, and D&G make the bulk of these thick and trendy frames, which some people find to be a bit expensive. But it is possible to find thicker frames at a cheaper price. Brown frames tend to look better on those with brown hair, as opposed to black frames. Of course, you could always go for something crazier like purple.

I hated glasses all my life, until I finally decided to spend some money on them and get a pair that was weird and unique. I went to the coolest glasses boutique I could find (not a chain like lenscrafters; this was a locally owned shop called Goo Goo Goggles in Victoria, BC) and let them suggest what I should try. I have a face similar to yours and ended up with a pair of dark thick frames, rectangular and very wide with bright green stripes on them. I think they look a little like a superhero mask. I get compliments from everyone about them and it has really boosted my confidence. Even though I could wear contacts I wear my glasses all the time now.

The key for me was to do something different; I had always gone with the most boring cheapest glasses possible because I didn’t want to draw attention to them, but they just made me look even more dull. Also don’t be afraid to pay $300-$500 for something you’re going to wear every single day for years, if it will make you happy.

i have a oval shape face too. try some wire type glasses with small lenses. something small so it won,t cover your whole face.
