I could not find decent eyewear except a pair of sunglass frames, but the optometrist told me he couldn’t put clear lenses in the frames because they had a ’shield’ on them.
WTF is that?!

I wore eyeglasses for awhile, and I bought a Ray Ban sunglasses, which was larger enough to go OVER & cover my regular skinny gold frame.

A shied, are sunglasses LARGER than eyeglasses, that are plastic & cheap about $49. I took mine back!
They’re usually sold same store you bought your prescription glasses.

I have a Versace eyeglasses now with bling on the sides. When I was trying a new pair of sunglasses, it was rubbing off to close to my eyeglasses, and one bling got unglued. Now, I can’t wear sunglasses with that one, so I’m wearing my old frame so I can wear it with my Ray Ban.

There are other brands you can buy @ Nordstrom (ex.) but you need to try them on with your eyeglasses. It’s hard to find one that does that, you can also buy those FLIP that you flip the sunglasses and clip on to your orig. glasses, but they made me look like MY DAD. Forget that one!

I really love Sama Eyewear, but there are two problems. (1) I don’t live anywhere near one of their optical boutiques and (2) I can’t afford the really high prices!

I specifically am interested in getting either the Sama Mia, Sama Deco 3, Sama Press, Sama BFF, or Sama Club S frames. I’ve searched everywhere online and I can’t seem to find any websites that sell these.

Is it possible that they are not available online? I also need prescription lenses in them… anyone got any advice?

I was actually able to buy Sama Deco 3 frames in Crystal (the ones from the Iron Man 2 movie) from Replacement Lens Express. It was fantastic – the price was $425 and it included free prescription lenses (single vision), free customized tinting (which I didn’t do, but cool that they offered), and free shipping.

This place was super friendly and helpful. Turns out it’s a family owned and operated practice based out of Connecticut and you can always get them on the phone to answer questions, tell you what your order status is, etc. Anyway, great company, very glad I found them. I think they not only have the entire Sama Eyewear line, but also Badgley Mischka Eyewear and Loree Rodkin as well.

What’s the difference between the brand Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani for frame glasses (not sunglasses), which one is better (in quality)?

Aramni has many differnt ‘labels’ under his name. Emporio Armani is one of them; it’s a more affordable, young & ‘wearable’ brand. It’s not as ‘high-end’ as the original Armani but it’s still the same company so you’re paying for the Armani name, but just a bit more for Giorgio. Either way both have the same logo, so up to you really if price is an issue.

Okay, I live in Georgia near Atlanta, and I think these glasses are so great, but I can’t find them anywhere that prescription glasses are sold.

Is it possible to get lenses put in and where?

If it’s not possible, does anybody know a place where some prescription glasses like these can be found? (Onlne, In store, Doesnt matter.)

Websites are good. I bought at www.eyeinform.com just recently and got my lenses at the optical. I just got frames there. I didn’t want to risk because my doctor said that lenses that are not made to fit you PD will ruin your eyes. But saving over $100 on frames was nice.

Straight commissions, Trying to sell $100.00 eyewear to Opticians, when manufacturer was selling same frames to Dollar Stores under another name. Three months work, lost money covering my own expenses. Got laughed out of some offices.

This wasn’t a job offer, but I had a friend who was big into the Amway stuff. He tried to get me into it and selling toothpaste for $40 a tube, which is pretty profitable if you can actually find someone to buy it.

I’m 14 year old guy and I bought my glasses at some place called Design Vision Center and my parents thought I should get something cheaper so I got metal frame glasses from Parade for $90.00
after about 6 months they broke and it started getting loose and it was uncomfortable.

Should I get plastic frames? Does it depend on the brand if the eyewear is better?
Help me decide I’m going to the eyewear shop this weekend to look for some glasses.
I don’t want to choose bad glasses like I’ve did before..

parade has a warranty on their frames for one year against manufacturing defects take them back to where you got them.
look into frames that are bendable , tell your parents you will take care of the ones you like & not forced upon you, there is studies that prove that is true.
dont rip the glasses off your face remove them with both hands or at least the frame front straight away from the face.
