I can see perfectly but are you allowed to play rugby with glasses that are jsut for protection.
No, you cant. No need for it either: you are protected from big objects (like a fist) by the nose, and the odds of a cleat hitting your eyes are negligible.
I have made an appt. to get fitted for some prescription eyeglasses. It will include the exam, prescription, frames and lenses. I am just going to one of those "vision center" type places, this one is called Dr. Barnes Eyewear Express.
My question is, how much should I expect to pay for the entire process? What is the average cost for a pair of glasses. I don’t have horrible eyes, and I don’t want anything fancy.
It depends on if you need bifocals or not, if you get tinted, or UV, or expensive frames.
I can cost only $100.00 at some places, without any extras.
Mine cost $300-$330 usually.
That is after the exam cost, which is separate…$40-50.
that is USA
I already own a pair of dark rectangular black frames. I tried the salt frames and the optician says I look sharp in them. I haven’t tried the ogas. The last oga with the thick plastic temples would hide some thickness like black rectangular one but the other semi-rimless frames could look weird on me because I have a high minus prescription.

holy moly, you people have some expensive tastes…the third oga is like 500 bucks minimum…i am thinking maybe I should try the salt…it has that retro look and gives me that johnny depp look…plus it’s lined with white crystal plastic which will help blend in my thick lens…..do you think the greyish black version of the salt frame would look good on me?
I say 3,6, or eight, but what do care what I think? I’m a guy. huhu. Anyway, I usually relate big bulky frames or just large glasses in general to old greasy men.
After loosing my favorite sunglasses, I haven’t been able to find some that don’t give me a headache. Every time I try new sunglasses it feels like I am borrowing someone’s prescription eyewear. I have a 20/20 vision and don’t need rx glasses.
most of those that have optical distortion are "wrap" designs with polycarbonate lenses. either try to avoid "wrap" designs or avoid poly or both…or just keep looking
